You can walk into the space to receive support from a Community Responder.

The Division of Community Care (DCC) is dedicated to offering person centered & trauma informed care in efforts to provide emotional support, advocacy, & resource connections for people seeking services. The DCC team will respond to calls to support people in the City of Northampton who are experiencing houselessness, emotional distress, difficulty with meeting basic needs, substance use, navigating conflicts, and other related situations.

The Mission & Vision

Mission

The DCC aims to offer support to individuals that have experienced or are currently experiencing difficult, challenging, and traumatic circumstances in their lives. The DCC is focused on assisting people in the community with addressing racial and social inequities, concerns, identifying and accessing resources to help meet their needs, and provide ongoing support.

Vision

The DCC's objective is to provide an alternative means to deal with, mediate, and/or de-escalate situations that may negatively impact any parties involved. Additionally, the DCC strives to empower individuals to identify and connect with resources to aid in meeting their needs and to foster personal agency, well being , and thriving in the community.

Local resources for services such as Housing, Food Pantry & Prepared Meals, Homeless & Shelter, Mental Health & Addiciton, Legal and Human services.
